Clothiers win 2 v 0
In a very entertaining game clothiers came out on top with goals from Rick Norman and Steve Collins.
FC Clothiers took 5 minutes or so to mount there first attack and a very controversial one at that.
The ball broke to Norman 30 yards from goal he took a touch and attempted to lob the onrushing keeper with a deft chip that had goal written all over it........however the keeper raised his arms and made an excellent save....only thing is the keeper was at least 5 yards out of his area and should have seen red, to everyones amazment the keeper was allowed to stay on and Clothiers were not even awarded a free kick.
However Norman (9) was not to be foiled and rocketed in a low free kick from 25 yards after a neat lay off from Luke Barker, Clothiers continued to play neat attractive football and but for the heroics of the keeper who was lucky to be on the pitch could have gone in further ahead.
The game was settled mid way through the second half when again Luke Barker was the provider, he whipped in a pacey corner which the keeper flapped at and Steve Collins rose above everyone to head home.
A mixture of good keeping, poor finishing and the woodwork kept the scoeline down and Antony Tutty had only one save to make low down to his right.
